Below is my infographic timeline of one 24 hour period in which I logged anything I considered personal media usage. Media was defined as an intervening agency, means, or instrument by which a person or persons attempt(s) to communicate with another person. The thing that I learned from this project was not necessarily how much we use media, but how unaware we are of all the media that surrounds us. During the gathering phase, I became hyper-aware of every billboard, song, or advertisement that I came in contact with. This awareness likely, and rather unscientifically, influenced the outcome of my research.
